My sister thinks I advertise my orientation?
She doesn't like that I share messages on LGBT on Facebook cause she thinks it's advertising my orientation and I should keep it a secret. What do you think?

She is right. Why does the whole world need to know your gay? Nothing wrong with it but no need to keep advertising it like an advertisement. It's no ones business what you do and with who.

There is a difference between supporting and advertising; you are simple supporting it... your sister is a homophobic Hag.

There's no reason you should have to keep who you are a secret.

It's no different to someone showing their sexuality as being hetero. I think the real issue lies with your sister, not your sexuality or your Facebook profile.
Thankfully we LGBT no longer have to remain hidden like dirty secrets, we now can be more open about that unimportant part of who we are. Well, those of us in more progressive countries anyway, and hopefully the rest of the world will catch up at some point. |

Just because she's uncomfortable with it doesn't mean you should be. I think she should mind her own business. What you do with your Facebook profile is up to you.
