Hi, Actually if you know where to search, it's very easy to find people, friends related to your niche..
There are some useful tools like Twubble which helps you finding interesting people..
If you know your friend's name or email but if you don't know their username on twitter..? You can use the "TwitterWho" tool which searches the email addresses,etc to find the people you need.
There are some other useful twitter tools also which will help you a lot to find new people,followers,etc.
