My friends never want to hang out?

My friends never want to hang out?
I have a small friendship group of around 8 they're my only friends unfortunately. I always used to think that my friends were just anti social but it turns out they hang out with other people.
Two of my friends live opposite each other so they are constantly over each other's houses and never out with anyone else.
My other three friends both have outside of school friends that they will hang around with.
My last friend hangs around with people I like as well outside of school and invite others in my friendship group but not me.

It doesn't really bother me until my friends are posting pictures of them on Facebook going somewhere that I wasn't invited to with other people.

It just seems like they don't like to hang around with me. Two of my friends will happily share their previous weekend plans with me and all I do on weekends is sit at home alone.
I don't know what to do. I'm very shy so making new friends is hard for me and I'm not into sports. Help?!

One problem could be your attitude that may turn them off. I used to be someone that people sorta liked but not really....and then a friend gave me these instructions, and they totally made my friend total like triple in like a month. And I hang out with all these people now (they were people I would see at places such as youthgroup and things like that, but now they are actually good friends).

First, stop saying negative things or doing anything negative.
Second, stop negative thoughts from even entering (affects how one "holds" oneself)
Third, see the good about people in everything
Fourth, compliment people
Fifth, engage in conversations with one person, and always ask questions of themselves etc.
Set yourself as a positive person, so that when something happens, and you seem to have a bad day, people will wonder why you are not Ok, instead of thinking, you are always negative anyway

hopefully that helps

Find new friends by being a friend. Sounds like the friends you have may be a bit of a snob sometimes. You don't have to ditch them, just be friendly to someone else. The friends you have now may become more friendly, maybe they won't. In any case, find more friends & be friendly as you want to be treated.
