Poll: Is it okay for men to hit women if a women hit a man?

I find this all over facebook etc. Women say "men should NEVER hit a women."
but I think if they are tough enough to give it out they should be tough enough to take it.

It's not OK for anyone to hit anyone, male or female.

However, if a woman were attacking you physically, it would be acceptable for you to defend yourself, as long as you used some restraint in the event she were smaller than you.

The terminology is at fault. It has it's root in old social protocols which say a man should never hit a lady, not a woman, a lady.

This is a very important distinction, because a lady would never do anything so utterly crass and lacking in social decorum as to hit a man in the first place. A woman who hit a man could not by any means be described as a lady, she would be no more than a common thug just like any man who would hit another man, and as such could quite legitimately be hit back.

I'm guessing the hypothetical situation is: if a man is in a fight with a woman is it okay for him to hit her. The answer in any situation is no, it's never okay. However, it is okay to wrestle her to the ground and hold her down.

If someone is nasty to me i lose all empathy for them. If a girl hits me i will mutilate her face so badly that even her mother couldnt say she is pretty. Unfortunately all the guys who have hit me have been as ugly as is humanly possible so i couldnt really do the same to them, just hurt them a lot lol

I really think, that personally, there shouldn't be any violence in the world and nobody should hit anyone.
