An exact match keyword domain name would probably require content and SEO to deliver traffic, the remaining names may be best suited for narrow niche sites. Certainly you want to do your search traffic research and consider the commercial intent of the word, those attracting people ready to spend money are much more valuable.

Google reps said they were "looking into" the unfair advantage some of these sites have.

There are also type-in domain candidates that could be used to redirect without SEO, some are mis-spelled popular words, some of the most tped names have sold for Millions.
