Well, the fact that you're posting here must mean that you have a Yahoo email address that is working since the password for logging in here is the same as to get your emails - try using that in conjunction with the following link to get something figured out:
http://forum.developers.facebook.com/vie...p?id=20382 There's a comment and link from the Facebook team further down the page but you have to log into Facebook to read it. Maybe you could set up a new Facebook account to try and sort this out, if you don't have any living near to you that can get in. If you get your own sorted out, you can then dump the new account. This guide will help you in cleaning infections from your computer: http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=35407 By the time you get through that your computer will probably be clean. Major Geeks is a reputable site so don't be worried about downloading and running anything they tell you to. Just make sure you get it from the links they give you and not somewhere else so you can be sure it's the "real McCoy" and not something similar designed to trick you into thinking it's the real deal. You might want to look at this link too: http://www.facebook.com/topic.php?uid=20...topic=5715 Some extra points: -- viruses can give themselves a different name on your computer to someone else's, for example when I had a particular virus I had syy.exe on my computer but a friend had ykk.exe but it was the same virus. So not finding those files mentioned may mean you have a different virus or may mean the virus gave itself a different name to the people posting. Lots of people are being affected so if you don't hear from Facebook in a reasonable time frame, they may not have got to you yet. In case you've overlooked the obvious (as I find myself doing from time to time, especially in tricky situations like the one you have) you can read emails from Yahoo online, you don't have to download them to your computer. Look for the Mail link along the top of any Answers page. |
