17 . No school , No job , No friends, Nothing?
im 17 years old

independent study , cant go back to regular highschool , im done with it this year

I have applied to every place in town but not even one called back ( over 30 places ) .

Moving around along with doing independent study all through highschool , made one friend for a few months, she stopped being my friend for no reason , i mean she gave me zero explanation . i have no friends

parents aren't home most of the time

no siblings still at home

nobody really cares if i die except them and they have to being parents .

i have spent the last 4 years sitting at home alone . doing nothing at all .

what do i do here?

Is it possible to get a job under 18?

How many places do i need to apply to and what type?

i don't wanna get hopes up and waste my time if i just cant get one until im 18 .

i'm going to a youth group thing once a week, i don't think ill make friends though . all i have are unreliable cold people on facebook in which it doesnt make me feel anything good , only ever dissapointment to go on there .

never done any dating at all

college starts in fall .

i hate my life so much i want to die , i have been to a mental hopsital before for suicidal thoughts , came back home and things were the same .

i barely speak to humans every day , i literally go 10+ hours without speaking due to nobody being here to talk to .

I know things seem really hard right now and I have gone through the same exact thing and I can tell you things will get better. Just try hard and maybe get out of your comfort zone with people that helped me. I used to be like this with suicidal thoughts. I looked at my life and tried hard to change. You would be surprised at what you can do if your determined. Firstly with college lower your standards and go to a branch campus or something then try hard get good grades in your first two years or so to transfer to a better school. Talk to your parents about all this and they may be able to give you good advice. Lastly if you like a girl go for it man and if she doesn't like you back just move on. Life is about making mistakes and moving on. You have so much to live for at your age just try and things will get better. If I can do this you definitely can I went through the exact same thing and now I have a stable job, some awesome friends and potential to get a girlfriend.

Wow it was really wrong of your parents to have you do online school and not find a way to keep you involved in some capacity. You usually have the option of staying in the school music program and recreational sports of whatever district you live in. I guess it depends where you live about getting a job. There are some places that don't need to hire anyone under 18 but there are plenty of places that will hire a 17 year old. If you can't find a job then do a college course where you actually have to go to the class instead of doing it online. You need to get used to being around people again so that you can actually enjoy the next four years of college. Don't worry, there are plenty of people that get to college that have never dated. Just because you were one way during your high school years, doesn't mean you have to be stuck being that way forever...it does mean you will have to reach outside of your comfort zone to get out but it is entirely within your grasp to change.
