Whats going on?

Hello so I've liked this guy since I came to my new school 2 months ago and the first like 2 weeks he's say hi and is smile and say hi back then in 2 months he unfollowed me on Instagram.... Hmm and he drifted more away and posts other girls oh and I'm following him still and last Friday he came up to me and said "so are we still hanging this week?" I was extremely confused and just said "what?" And his friend started laughing in the back and said "dude she rejected you!" And they both laughed then his friend came up and said the same thing I said " no what are you even talking about?" And that's it...... I'm so confused

I don't want to say anything bad- just my opinion i could be wrong. It may be that he found out you liked him and is just joking arround with his friends- being a douchebag about it. I'm maybe wrong, but i've seen a simmilar situation since i was friends with a douchebag guy and he did something simmilar to the most popular girl in school just so he can be ''funny''.
