Is the Chromebook right for me?
I was looking into Chromebooks because of their cheap price and was hoping to replace my Windows 8 RT tablet. I as hoping to be able to write code and compile it with Java, C++, and Python. Also, I was wondering if there is a Chromebook app that works like Garageband or allows you to compose music and arrange songs from snippets or loops. Does the chrome store have apps that can do these things offline and online?

You should give these audio composers a look.
UJAM: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detai...nigiokgmci Soundation: http://soundation.com/ Chromebooks do not support Java, so that may be a hurdle. I don't know anything about coding and compiling, but it seems like it's no trouble to find an editor and compiler that runs in a browser (and thus the Chromebook). https://www.google.com/#q=browser+compiler&safe=off It seems like offline options are limited: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/search-apps/compiler Offline apps are denoted by the grey lightning bolt.
