Yahoo do concentrate on backlinks but not as much as the other search engines do like Google for example. And since they've merged with Bing, they backlink checker is no longer available, therefore questioning how much emphasis is placed on their backlinks.

Inner linking is also very important to Yahoo, you should make sure that you inner pages link to each other, Yahoo favors this very much. Backlinking isn't the only thing search engines do to rate an importance of a site, Pagerank is,arguably, quite important too. Content, and unique content could also be considered important. But as the algorithms of the search engines are quite secret, there is usually some discussion on what is and what isn't important. Goodluck. Try Googling, good yahoo SEO or something like that.

SEO is an acronym for "search engine optimization". It is the process of analyzing your potential design and problems for search engines indexing and positioning. In other words, making your web site and its content attractive, relevant and visible to search engines and web searchers. Yahoo! is the second biggest of the three major engines and includes an enormous network of websites. You require Yahoo account for using all the Yahoo services. You can get an account at http://mail.yahoo.com. Yahoo! takes site structure seriously than any other search engine. Yahoo! is the only search Engine concerned with site structure but good site structure is important for a various of reasons. Most people speak to say they look to Yahoo as the most accurate representation of public backlink counts.Knowing how many pages are indexed is another important stat you can retrieve from Yahoo Site Explorer. This data indicates how good your site’s internal structure and whether your site is crawled extensively. I believe the key for deep indexing (your goal) is regularly updated content and content that is well structured – i.e. interlinked in a logical manner.

Not necessary. There are specialists for Yahoo as well. Yahoo is one of the popular engines. We've hired Resultrix, a leading search marketing services provider to enhance our website's visibility across the search engine network. You can check if their services suit your needs.
