Outlook.com or Windows Live Mail send notification to phone?

I have a folder in my outlook.com account/Windows Live Mail account (they are the same thing) for 'important' emails. Is there a way to get either of them to send a notification to my phone whenever I receive an email that is sent to my 'important' folder?
The mail app that came with my iPhone doesn't sync the same folders as it does on my laptop, its just one big inbox so it would notify me every time I get any email

why not set up your phone to receive your emails, most platforms can do this now, if not consider upgrading to a smartphone
