Why is my internet connection so unstable?
I have Comcast High Speed service. I have a consistent problem with it where it will disconnect me from any streaming service, be it online gaming or streaming a video from netflix etc. Every time this happens, I pull up my command prompt and run a ping on google.com or yahoo.com, and the results will come back with about 10-20% loss on packets (meaning that 10-20% of the time I get the message "Request Timed Out") The think about this problem is that it doesn't have any pattern on when it happens. It's not at the same time of day, it doesn't happen every day, etc. Comcast has been unable to fix this problem since I have called them hundreds of times over the past year. Each time I call they try to blame the modem or the router or a cable, but if that were the case then why does it work sometimes and not at other times?

This problem makes it impossible for me to use my internet connection for any online gaming or video streaming. What is really causing the problem and how do I fix it?

You can increase your internet connection by optimizing some registry settings. An good internet optimizer is Internet Cyclone. You can download it from http://www.jordysoft.com/icyclone/internet-cyclone.aspx
