Windows does not automatically connect to the internet?

When ever I turn on my computer i have to always re-enter the security code for my wifi, i was wondering if this is a problem with windows or the hardware? which is a PHICOMM Wireless LAN 802.11n, now I know this thing is kind of crappy but could it be the problem here?

if your using windows 8 you have to select it to be remembered if not as soon as your turn your laptop off it will forget the network. If not its probably more likely to be a software issue than to do with the hardware.
