What does this mean?
I've known a guy for 12 years. Since we were 11 now 23. We stopped talking for ages until about 2 years ago when I started seeing him every few months (through the family not him directly)

Over the past year or so he's been 'randomly' messaging me on facebook when he's been drinking. Saying he wants to hang out and sometimes goes on with random jiberrish. I agree to hang out but then he must get embarrassed when he rereads it the next day, then he won't talk again for weeks.

I saw him the other night at his sisters function/party he avoided me allll night. He started drinking and feeling more 'confident' i guess. I went to leave and he hugged me twice and literally said I love you as he hugged me infront of his family.. and then said he wants to take me on a date! Out of nowhere. His mum yelled out he likeeess youuu and then I lef

So the next night I talked to him on fb and just said hey. The reply was "f*ck you you sl*t and all this stuff. So I'm assuming his friend got hold of his phone.

Today he messaged saying Lol sorry I didn't mean to send that ..I love you

And then jokingly I wrote back love you too haha. And he hasn't replied again.

So I know he likes me, and this whole tag thing has been happening for a year or more now. He's announced he wants to take me on a 'date'. So how long should I expect to wait before he asks me?
He's a very confident loud guy infront of all his friends, but knowing him growing up I know he's embarrassed easy

Before you try to analyze everything he says, to see what he means, you need to realize that he only communicates when he's drinking. I personally would think twice about seeing anyone with such an obvious alcohol problem.
