Was this feminist being attacked for her opposition to men's right activists ?
Or it is just a random attack?
And why did she think freedom of speeches should not be available for men's rights group?
http://www.thewhig.com/2014/03/27/queens...off-campus
Excerpt:
".....A Queen’s University student was attacked late Wednesday night outside her home near Victoria Park.

The fourth-year student was attacked by a man as she was leaving her home. She was repeatedly punched in the face and as a result one of her front teeth was broken. A “selfie” posted on Facebook also shows the student with a swollen left eye.

The attack came after the student had received several threatening emails surrounding her support for feminist activities on campus. Although it is unclear if the events are connected, the student wrote that the attacker was male and that he knew her name.

The Kingston Police are currently investigating the incident, which took place near Brock and Albert streets around 11 p.m.

Const. Steve Koopman, Kingston Police media relations officer, said that the officer in charge is not discounting the possibility that the assault was a hate crime.

The Queen’s Journal reported that the student “has been actively involved in opposition” to an event being hosted by the Men’s Issues Awareness Society (MIAS).

The student-run club is hosting a talk by Janice Fiamengo, an English professor at the University of Ottawa and a former-feminist-turned-men’s-rights activist."

No, but feminists are crazy, so it wouldn't surprise me if she got one of her friends to beat her up so she could paint this group of people in a negative way by claiming it was them.

Feminists oppose any free-speech that doesn't match up with their ideologies. Here is a group of feminists who reported some men right activists to police for speaking against sexism.http://globalnews.ca/news/1229905/obscene-posters-in-halifax-have-police-city-mulling-legal-action/

Feminists oppose everything they dislike that is bad for them but support it for others like women only fundings, reduced standards and vawa.

If a feminist attacks me then I'm going to hurt them because I have the right to defend myself.I always carry recording devices.

Freedom of speech doesn't mean freedom from criticism. It should mean freedom from physical assault, though.

That is terrible. Yes, it could be an isolated incidence -- a mugging -- unrelated to her political views. But either way it is terrible.

Even if she is a Socialistâ„¢ and a sexist bigot, she certainly is entitled to be safe from violence. Everyone should be safe to express their political views without fear, even if they are hateful views.

I cannot believe that in response to somebody being physically assaulted, people are saying "she was attacked for being a f****** b****" and that they are "proud" of this "gentleman" "although he did not finish the job." That is sick.

"Was this feminist being attacked for her opposition to men's right activists ?"

I don't think we'll know for sure until an investigation is conducted, and the perpetrator is brought to justice.

I do have to say, I found this excerpt from your first link 'interesting':

"Some students and members of the community have expressed concern on the event’s Facebook page, stating that the talk is creating an unsafe space for victims of sexual assault, as well as women in general on campus."

And then there's the description of the attacker: a man who knew her name.

These are all very curious details...so I'd be interested in finding out what the investigation turns up.

No one deserves to be assaulted for expressing their opinions, but as we do not know who assaulted her or why, the fact that she's apparently claiming that the assault was in response to her opposition to that MRA event does leave me wondering if this wasn't a matter of her taking one for the team in order to silence views that she and her feminist sistas deem objectionable.
