When you send a FB friend request, is there a way to tell if someone has "ignored" the request?

I mean, obviously.... if months have gone by and they haven't accepted the request then I guess it's safe to say they are ignoring you, LOL. But is there any other way to tell?
A few weeks ago, I sent a friend request to someone I haven't seen since high school (nearly 20yrs ago!) ~ she hasn't accepted my request... but I know she has been on FB because she has made comments about some of my friends posts. If there was a way to tell that she chose to "ignore" me then I would like to just delete her from my friends list. Hate the "ignore" button by the way. If you don't want to friend someone, then just hit decline, sheesh ![]() Ads |

Well, you seem like an extremely obnoxious person, considering the fact that you stalked this person's account who you haven't seen for twenty years.
So yes, they probably ignored you. Ads |

if you havent received a response to say that someone has accepted or declined then they are clearly ignoring you.
wether it be by clicking ignore or just not responding in any way to the request. the idea of the ignore button is so you dont blatantly see that they dont want to be your friend and you can happily live in hope that maybe they just havent seen the request. because after all who would not want to be friends with you, right? |

No thats Private- MOST people ignore Apps or other "Requests" on FB. its very annoying when 30 people send you apps invite.. So FB keeps that private to avoid conflicts.

Actually there IS one way..
Wait for a few months and if a notification that she has accepted you as a friend doesn't appear, this probably means either that the person has ignored you or hardly uses Facebook. This method, however, is not really always accurate. Hope this helps! ![]() |
