iPad 2 - do you need an internet connection to USE apps?

I know you need an internet connection to download them...but say for apps like Temple Run and iTunes U, do you need to have a connection to use them?

Some you do. You will know immediately the minute you download them. Just to be sure, download the app, disable the wifi by going into wifi mode and launch the app. I mainly have this problem with some Zynga games

depends on the app. most games use internet connection to post your scores. so you really don't need that to play. but some apps use it to connect to their servers. it should say on the app if a connection is required.

Well the vast majority dont. Im currently on my ipad. Temple run works without wifi. So do other games, its just you need them if you want go upgrade the game etc.
