how to disable the FB icon notifier on my blackberry bold!?

i have a blackberry bold and everytime i get a notification from facebook an anoying fb icon apears and its getting preety anoying it doesnt go untill i go on to facebook its realy anoyingggg!! and i want it to go...can anyone help me? x
ive alredii unticked tthe notification box on the fb apps option page but it still comes up :/

Open the FB app.

Press the Menu key and select Options.

Remove the check next to Facebook notifications.

Also remove the check next to BlackBerry Messages application.
