This is really stupid, I know, but I don't know what to do anymore.

There's this guy and I like him. I have litteraly no idea if he likes me too. Yet I do have him on facebook and I asked him (after I collected all my courage) a question about homework. He answered it and I tried to talk more but I kinda failed a bit.
I'm extremely scared that he's gonna reject me or something and well... I feel like an idiot asking this but yeah.
So, anyone, some good advice?

Don't feel like an idiot! if you like him start small talk, have confidence in yourself to message him, guys love confidence and you'll know he likes you if he messages you and starts a conversation another day! good luck!

just message him and be like hey im extremly bored lol would you like to hang out? and if he says yeah sure lets hang out then yeah hes interested... if hes busy then ask him well is there anytime your not ... and if he is too busy for you then he isn't interested

I have the same problem. I am trying to build up my confidence and get him alone at some point and ask him. if he is nice then if he rejects you, he wont tell anyone and no harm will have been done.
If you really don't dare then ask him over text or facebook.

Don't be so nervous about it. I know its easy to just say that, but think of it this way... What is the absolute worst that can happen? He's not interested? Okay and then you finally know and don't have to dwell over him anymore and you can go find someone else. If you guys already had a convo before he prob is interested so you shouldn't even worry about that at this point away! I would message him and just have a casual convo a few times through facebook before asking him to hangout in person. That will make it less awkward. Message him and complain about your hw again or about your teacher or something that can strike up a convo between you guys that lasts for a bit

Just try to be friendly. I'd recommend in person. Because it's less weird to start talking in person. Try light topics and keep the topic on things he likes or on him. People like talking about them selves.
