Does the Wii have to get internet connection to have netflix?

It does require internet to get netflix. Like most other games you can download or other trailers and previews or blocks from the Nintendo Wii, you need an internet connection so that the Wii can connect to the main server. Kind of like iPod Library needs internet to connect to iTunes.

Yes, you need an internet connection. The Wii has built in wifi capability, so you need to get the Wii/Netlix disc from Netflix, then follow the instructions to connect to your wireless router.

If you don't have wireless router, then you will need to get one. All this of course assumes that you have high speed internet service at home.
