During last month many emails gone missing, both sending and receiving. why?
I know it's been busy with Christmas but since early December, messages I have sent (and are in sent items) have not been received and similarly messages sent to me have never arrived. Any clues as to why? Been an ongoing problem for me and my wife (different yahoo addresses) for about 5 weeks now.

One of the reasons you would not receive them is because they are being spammed...Check your spam folder and if you find them in there open them up and click on NOT SPAM...Once done this email and any subsequent emails will go
to your INBOX.

One of the above should take care of your problem..

When all else fails do the below...

__I recommend viewing this link first to see if the emails are actually gone..

Yahoo can only restore messages that were originally sent or received prior to the
last 7 days, but that were lost during the last 7 days Go to this link for details.
To further explain this (some users are confused with the way it is worded) it will
only restore emails older than 7 days. If some of your emails were received OR sent
in the last 7 days and disappeared you will have to wait until they have been gone longer
than 7 days. This means you may have to submit a recovery more than once because\
if you wait past the 7 day requirement they will be non retrievable. Lets hope this
does not make it more confusing. Also, make sure you read this link completely
because if you submit another recovery before the first one has been resolved
it will replace the first one. A backup of recent emails is also required.

The following link is used for recovering deleted files that include emails..... http://download.cnet.com/Recuva/3000-224...53287.html

I have not tried this, but it might be possible to use SYSTEM RESTORE and go
back to a date that you had them. click on START....ALL PROGRAMS....
ACCESSORIES...SYSTEM TOOLS...SYSTEM RESTORE and go from there.
There are so many versions...IE 7, 8, 9, Vista, etc so the method to get to System
Restore might be different

If the above don't work.....Enter RECOVER DELETED EMAILS in your web
browser to bring up sites that say they can. ehow.com is a good one. Enter
RECOVER DELETED EMAILS in the search box and click on ENTER.
