lost access to my old yahoo can I get it back?

I'm having trouble trying to get into a twitter account I started to go with one of my roleplay pages. so I went to try and get into the email to see if I could reset the password but my accounts been deactivated and recycled. I tried to make a new account with the same user name with no luck. Is that possible? or have I lost all hope and should just make a new email and twitter.
I read that recycled accounts can be used again. like the username. I tried but it said already used. I can pay 1.99 USD to put 5 user names on a list and wait for them to become avail. um no.

Once You lose an Account here on Yahoo- it's "History." -Sorry for Your Loss.

Once your account has been recycled you must wait for Yahoo to release the email address back to the public domain. Until that happens you won't be able to reclaim that email address. You can put your name on the wait list but as Yahoo states the wait list is only active for three years and there's no guarantee that your old email address will ever be released to the public again.
