my girlfriend went to italy and i wanted to ask her how her trip was so i know international text messages are extremely expensive so i direct messaged her on twitter (she using her hotel wifi)
i have att with unlimited text messaging and 3gb of data a month she has verizion
is there going to be a charge on my bill for direct messaging internationally?

Direct messaging is data. You don't get charged for sending something that is data internationally - you only get charged for using data (that is not wi-fi) internationally.
