Internet Connection Problem?

My internet connection has been really annoying lately. Ever since I moved the desktop to my other room, the internet has been connecting, then reconnecting by itself every 10 minutes to 3 hours. When the internet connection disconnects, the wireless connection stops also. I have a Linksys Cable Modem. The model is BEFCMU10. My wireless router is a myessentials wireless G router. I tried resetting the router, factory default, and changing channels (1, 6, 11). Also, the cable is not connected to anything else and I'm not near a microwave either. Please HELP!!
Sometimes, the internet connection never reconnects by itself so I have to manually unplug and plug back the into the modem and the wireless router. The IP address is correct and i updated to a newer version but still doesn't work.
The internet connection set up says my computer to the network is connected, but has a red X between the network to the internet.

is youre internet connection Wireless?, becouse i had the same issues with one of my Linksys Router, all i did was disconect my Internet Modem and i reseted the Router with the Factory CD that the Router came with....i re installled the security and i swithed the channels...now the connections nver stop working.
