He hasn't texted me back, but he's been on Instagram...?
I've been seeing this guy for about four months now. In the beginning, we would hang out pretty much every other day, if not EVERY day. Now, we see each other maybe once every other week. I don't see him nearly as much as I'd like to, but I understand that he needs his space. Plus, I know that there comes a point in a relationship where a guy feels like he doesn't have to try as hard. Although we don't see each other that often anymore, he is always the first to text me and he will tell me throughout the week that he is thinking about me. Sometimes I feel guilty for not texting him first and making him feel like he is doing all the work, so I texted him this morning. Just a simple, "hey there" was all I said. It's been 4 hours and I haven't heard back from him. I know he has his phone on him, because he keeps posting on Instagram. Is it normal for a guy to ignore a text? I don't think I've done anything to upset him...I mean, the other day in the hall at school, I was in a big hurry to get to class and I didn't say hi to him when we passed, but I don't think he'd ignore me over something so small...Maybe my text was too vague? Perhaps I should've said something like, "Good morning! Hope you have a great day! Smile" I don't know!

Guys are jerks, love. Same thing happened to me before and basically your boyfriend will only text you at his convienence. He does not treasure your relationship as much as you do. Young guys take relationships for granted and he will always use the "I need space" as an excuse to make YOU look like the clingy annoying bad guy.

Don't let him break your heart! He does not sound like he is worth it. And you know what, he might be sweet and say mushy lovey crap, but eventually that will fade.

If you don't see yourself marrying this dude, grade school dating is a waste of time and emotion.
