Deleted ex boyfriend off Facebook...good idea?

Long story short,

I waited for ex boyfriend for 6 months who is in the military to come home from afghanistan.

3 weeks after he returned home, he broke up with me.

He gave me all this "i feel really bad from breaking up with you" crap and that he wanted to make it work between us and I really loved him so we gave it another shot a few times, (but we didnt really officially start dating again), and it didnt end up working out.

I'm still hurt. When we were together he was absolutley amazing to me, then one day out of the blue he was totally cold and stubborn towards me, and thats where it ended.

Nearly 3 months later, and he now has a new girlfriend.

I deleted him off facebook.

Good idea?

I wanted to be friends with him, but I cant do this anymore. I cant handle seeing him with another girl.
