What more should I do to increase my site's SEO and Google rankings?

I've been wondering what else can I do to increase my sites SEO rankings? Do you think am I currently on the right path with keywords and content or am I all over the place?

Also I currently have no backlinks to my site and I know there are sites that allows you write content for other bloggers or sites to use. However, I currently only know of one and that's Ezine Articles. But are there other sites similar to Ezine Articles?

Any tips or information would be appreciated, thanks.

Hmm good questions about the meta tags. I am not 100% sure on that. I do know I use the All in One SEO pack plugin. Does that help with meta tags?

You have to have in bound links from alot of good quality sites , they should be on many ips and many class 's , Google is hard to rank in for big terms .

EzineArticles are no.1 so you may as well start there. The link will be followed by Google also when more publishers link to your article the PR will increase. There are other sites some are "nofollow" which is not much good to you.
If you are lucky you might get some free back links when articles are published, but does not always happen. Write to the highest standard and make sure they are related to your niche using your keywords but not commercial.
You will still need to bookmark on social sites to maximise traffic ie Facebook, Stumbleupon and others.
Ensure you have good articles on your website to keep your new visitors and use good links to other parts of your site, if you create lots of new web pages, they will be indexed faster.
Make page titles keyword rich and not to short or too long, about 5 words.

Its better to participate in forum, do follow blog comment, answering, write a unique content for your blog and promote it into social networking sites.

First I have a couple questions that will help you with your SEO efforts. Does your domain name contain your keyword, Is your keyword in the Meta tag and the description tags and the head tag ?
If not I would start there and correct these items first. Further, do you have a site map on your web page? and how many backlinks does your competitors have and at what PR are they?

Your website is designed well, which is good. Be sure to put good key words in the description and meta tags where applicable. Use some or more of your key words in your writings, and you may italicize, bold, or use them in a header to further help SEO ( I don't know if this particular tactic is very current or not. I heard that Google changed their algorithms a while ago.) Do not get into link farms or key word stuffing, as this is considered to be a black hat tactic. (I'm not good at explaining those things right off the bat you can look them up)
