Does blogger have an SEO advantage?

I've been blogging for about 18 months on the same site and things are going ok considering my small niche.

Anyway, I use wordpress which has been nothing but awesome. But my main competitor uses blogger and has 65% more RSS subscribers. That blog is about 8 months older than mine and it ain't bad but its crushing me in the serps. Although I do rank PR1 for 3 different keywords.

So, does the person using blogger have an advantage? Does Google sprinkle a little extra on those blogs SEO wise?

I'm thinking about having a blogger blog with the same name as my site - no duplicate content just links mostly see if that helps. I am getting my butt whopped what gives?

There is no problem with blogger or word press. Both are very powerful platform to create your blog. You can use any platform. But, you have to focus on certain SEO methods and tactics to get it done. You can change your HTML from word press source code.

Try to create more accurate Title with your blog.

Try to market in front of needy people.

Try to use such social media websites like Twitter, Facebook & many similar.

Content changes on blog make sense about your blog.

So, try to update your blog on weekly or weekly/ 2 basis. It will very important factor to make your blog popular.

Both platforms are great. Besides that you should put your skills on creating relevant web page by keeping in mind the proper title and meta tags along with the main contents.

For gaining more visitors you need to spread the word about your blog so that more and more people know about it. You can try different ways to achieve this.

I prefer Wordpress over blogger..... But I do not see any SEO advance just for the name of blogger.
