Should I Give Up on my Website?
I have had a Video Game Reviews website called DD Reviews for a year or two, at first very invested in posting more and more reviews and articles of new games. I personally stopped doing reviews a while back (almost a year) because I didnt want to put that much effort into it because I was and still am now (just checked it now, after a few months) on about 20-30 views per day. Should I start doing reviews or should I just continue to leave it and not add more articles or anything?

Are you paying for the website? If so, than you should cancel it since your not making that much profit. If Not, than yeah you should continue if you enjoy posting video game reviews. You should upload some Youtube videos and link your website into the videos, and vise versa.

Stock market analysts suggest you should sell a stock if the reason you bought in isn't valid any more.

If you like doing it, and it doesn't matter whether you get a big audience (or ad money), then that's a labor of love. Do it when and how you like.

But if you're looking for more, then you need to treat it like a job and do the things that attract and keep readers: promote the site -- "If you build it they will come" only works in the movies -- and back it up with regularly occurring content.

You can build the number of readers by publicizing it when speaking to online friends (like on social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, SmoozeZone, Blogster and so on). You can maintain and add numbers of readers by adding more content. Must your site focus only on new games, or is that simply your preference? I like some of the old ones like those gorillas that threw bananas that exploded! Where can you get those games? Maybe you could answer such things on your site. If having the site is too expensive, then try converting its content over to a blog site. I have several b2evolution sites. Posting to them is relatively easy and fun. Post your url's on Twitter. Add contacts there who are into what your site is about. People who see their tweets will thus discover your Twitter page and see your tweets about your reviews.
As long as hosting fees are low enough, keep plugging along. If not, move your content to a new site. If you can find a website builder who also hosts the site, have that person build a really aesthetic site, and contribute lots of input into the site design yourself. People are attracted to contact often first by visual impressions. Good luck.
