How should I ask my dad for an Instagram?

Hi, so I am 13, and literally every kid in my grade has an Instagram- except me. I always feel so left out when they talk about it. It's my dad who won't let me. How do I convince him to let me get one?

Hi well i dnt know how is ur relationship with him but if he does not want u to have an instagram is because he is a jelouse father ...sit with him and talk to him and let him know that u feel left out and that u only want instagram because every one in ur class has one and to trust you ..that ur only going to put decent pictures and family pictures and u with ur friends .... that you will not follow people that u do not know but u have to promise him ok good luck and God bless you!!

It's not like Instagram is a p*** website or something. Why not? I made an Instagram behind my parent's backs, they found out later when I showed them one of my pics, they didn't mind.
Either do what I did, behind his back...because it is YOUR phone and not his. You have a phone for a reason. Your phone is a matter of privacy.
Or if you insist on feeling guilty, then ask him. It's impossible he'd say no unless he isn't familiar with technology stuff. If he does say no, then give him reasoning. Tell him you are 13, some 11 year olds have one, and all your friends have one, etc. And convice him it isn't a bad website, anything inappropriate that's posted on there would get deleted easily. Tell him you'll be safe.
