Desktop PC With no Internet Connection?
So. I have a pc with no internet connection. Its just the machine that I use to run Linux, because I like Linux, but didn't want to put it on my gaming pc. Anyway, this makes it pretty expendable. I don't know what the best solution is, whether it be something USB, whether it be a new NIC, or maybe this: I have a long ethernet cable that runs through a hole in the wall into my room and into my pc. What can I do about maybe a splitter or switch or something? I don't know. Money is not a problem, any help is appreciated. Thanks!

What exactly is it you want to do? Not at all clear from what you have written.
If you want an internet connection on your Linux PC, just run an Ethernet cable from it to a spare socket on your router. Extremely likely that it will work immediately. Ads |
