facebook friends and how to deal with them?

I added my cousin as a friend and then everyone in his friend list wants to be my friend. This is one place where Myspace works better. Anyway, I am afraid to add another friend as I dont want all these other invites sent to me. I am not a big facebook user anyway. Should I ignore the friend requests or can I turn that off or should I just delete my account?
So, if I add a friend do all of his/her friends invite me to be their friends automatically?

Well on Facebook, you can make it so people cant addd you, and you can only add people. If you go to settings and then privicy. That could help you.

Or you could just deny the requests. Either way. Facebook its reallly safe as long as you dont add anyoneyou don't know

go to settings and take off friends request so no one can ask you to be a friend, then the problem is solved good luck

you can just ignore it, it won't notify them and they'll probably forget about it
