Short film story outline HELP!?

So I'm trying to make a short film this summer. I'm an amateur in this, btw. I do a bit of photography, and I'll be using it to record. I'm having problems with my story outline. I want your suggestions on how to end the story, and other things to be better. There's a voice actor to it, like Warm Bodies or Diary of A Wimpy Kid.

1) A well known photographer and a loner in high school named Kyle(actor,voice actor), is secretly in love with a girl named Summer(former classmate), a well going girl who sometimes have photoshoots with Kyle, together with her friends(girls) to post on FB and have many "likes".
2) After photoshoots, Summer shares her stories to Kyle on her boyfriend on how he treats her like a princess, etc. Kyle just keeps on listening to her.
3) Later, another photoshoot took place. Summer's boyfriend cheated on her. She shared about it to Kyle. He cheered her up, became close friends, made her happy.
4.) In the long run, Summer's feelings developed on Kyle, but just wasn't sure. Kyle later confessed her feelings after a long time.
5) They had fun together.
**Help me keep it interesting. I got my choices.* It's either:
-She slowly died of a virus
-She got back with her boyfriend and friendzoned Kyle
-She went abroad and she'll never see her again
..or what's you suggestion?

Summer is approached by her ex who she still has feelings for
With her new found feelings for Kyle she is forced to choose between the two
In the end she chooses her ex
Kyle finds a new girl
Summer realizes she made a huge mistake when her and her bf break up again
Wanting to confess to Kyle, she keeps her feelings to herself seeing that Kyle is now happy
She ends the story alone longing for true love
