I have been playing league of legends for a while and the ping continuously raising up ... i can't even play anymore.. it happened after 8 months till now. I am thinking of switching of at&t because my cousins and friends had a very good ping.. while I don't. I pay like $80 bucks a month.. and it so laggy.. i am thinking before convincing my brother to switch.. is it my router or modern..

I got a router netgear. It is connected to the lan 3 and 4.
I got a cis3008 modern.
How can I check my internet problem. Please help for real because i can't play anymore games.. its been 500+ ping everday now..bs.
Usually it happens in the morning 10 am - 1 pm = 400+
in the afternoon - 2 pm - 5 pm = decent ping 79- 100
the rest of the day ..- 200-1000 ping

It keep happening more at the different... time but now its almost all day... UNPLAYABLE SO PLEASE HELP!!
I am from chicago... do i switch to at&t because its cheaper and doesn't have a high ping... like a fake ass comcast do.. that is cost a lot and high ping almost a year already...... please my mind is so stressful and tried..

Check if other things in your house are using the internet, the more things that are connected, the slower it will feel.

If you're thinking about changing providers, see if there is a company in your area that uses Fibre Optic lines as opposed to Copper cable, the ping on the Fibre lines is drastically lower than copper.

Well something not right.Back when I was gaming I loved Comcast because of the low pings.Are your ping tests all from the same game using the same server?That could have a lot to do with it.When I played I would only used servers that were located close to me having a ping of less than 25.If I played with a server that was located 1500 miles away my ping would be 50 to 70.There may be something wrong with the wiring going to your modem that would slow down reply times.Call comcast and have them run a check of your lines.
