Google Hangouts is an awesome Instant Messaging App. You can download it to your Android device or iPhone/iPod/iPad. Also, you can download an extension for Google Chrome that will automatically start when you turn on your computer (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detai...naoiihapd) Just click "Add to Chrome."

Sign into your Google Account. You can create a new message by clicking the plus button and searching through your Google Contacts, and you can message them, too.
