HP Pavilion p6000 series desktop won't connect to internet?
I just got this computer used and it can't find a wireless internet connection. It just sais plug in an Ethernet cable in. Does anyone know why it won't find any networks?

Is there a wireless card or WiFi built in on the computer? If so, it may be disabled and need to be turned on. You can do this from Network properties. Without knowing what Operating system and what(if any) wireless you have, I can't be more specific.

Depending on the age of the desktop, it may not have both a Wi-Fi adapter and an Ethernet adapter. Take a look at the Device Manager screen and see what kinds of Network Adapters you have. Let us know what you see by updating your question's Additional Details section.

Most desktops don't come with built-in wireless.

You will probably need a wireless card or USB adapter.
