How do I upgrade my Facebook profile into a Facebook timeline?

You have to go on someone's profile that has it already, there should be a link for you to get it too.

go onto someone else's profile who has it and click the learn more link at the top of the page. It could say, try it out or something along those lines.

Type in timeline into your search box and one of the things should say introducing timeline. There should be something there that says get timeline.

Go to this link http://www.facebook.com/about/timeline
Then, click on the green button that says "Get Timeline" at the lower left part of the screen.
