connecting android phone to pc?

whenever i connect my android phone to pc, phone loses internet connection at the same moment. why is this happening? i can browse the web without any problem on my phone, but when i connect it to pc, wifi bars become white. how to fix it? it worked fine till recently.

p.s.pc runs win xp sp3 if this helps at all

make sure USB debugging is on... and reboot... work now?

If not, does your computer see the phone????????? cna you navigate and edit your SD card in Start menu>Computer??????? If yes, then your ADB is fine and USB debugging is good..... and your issue is the phone itself.... sounds like the power charging via USB is causing EMF in the phone, thus disrupting WIFI.

It could be software related, but a facory reset should fix that.. if not, an RUU can... but if issue remains, its hardware.... get anew phone due to defect
