FB Corse ready to go (MotoGP and Moto2) ...?
After many months of speculation FB Corse announced they´re ready for
the MotoGP and Moto 2 Championships. Gary McCoy is their GP Rider
I´m very happy to see a new team on the grid, and very happy to see Gary
back...

Your thoughts MotoGP fans on the news and
do you think either FB Corse or Gary McCoy will be competitive?

Hello Ciccio and everyone, Smile

I think this is great news. And I hope this is only the beginning of a new wave of teams joining the GP.

The last time I saw McCoy in the GP, it was the end of the 2006 season and he was testing the first 800cc bike, the Ilmor. I think McCoy can be competitive. He may not be very young but he's very experienced Smile. I'm rooting for him heheh

[ it's good too see a new bike on the MotoGp grid, met Gary McCoy at Brands Hatch.. when he was riding for Foggy Petronas, he's a tiny guy. but he looks quite big on the FB Corse in the link.
he is a good rider and i believe that Luca Cadalora had a hand in the developement of the bike, so i shall be watching with interest
I am sure that with the six engine rule in force this season, that the team have probably targeted a track were they can gain a good result.. good luck to them....<^><...

I dont want to sound sceptical, But they have missed a few deadlines already, Valencia being the big one. I cant understand the link you gave. (Sorry I really should learn foreign) But found this
http://www.motomatters.com/news/2010/02/...n_mil.html
It states Gary has not been signed yet just for testing rules and regs. (Which makes perfect sense)
But the big bit in the Kropotkin article is the fact the bike hasnt turned a wheel yet !!
It would be nice to see what the 3 cylinder could do. but when they change in 2012 will it have any kind of chance, or will it be another Foggy Petronas, or the ill fated illmore.

I wont be holding my breath, But I do wish them luck.

Well I do wish them well, but they have a massive hill to climb & its only going to get stepper.

Gary is a great talent there is no getting away from that fact, but with a new team / bike he is going to struggle to make the TV screens.

Like so many time in the past, I really hope to eat humble pie and be proved 100 % WRONG ! , but with the current markets and racing getting short of deals and cash I cant see the FB bean up to the job.

BMW turned the offer down half way through after seeing the problems the would have & moved over to the more [simple] world WSB, were they have not really set the world on fire.

Like I say, I hope to eat a nice juicy slice of humble pie, washed down with a glass of the finest Vin Rouge from the south vineyards of Wrongness, but I feel the FB Corse will flop before the end of 2010.
