Please help me with new privacy settings in facebook?

I have recent activity disabled, so when I comment on my friends statuses, it doesn't show up on my profile, or whenever I like a page, like a television show or a radio station's page that doesn't appear in my recent activity; however, when I am trying to post on a facebook page's wall, like a television show saying how great it is, that post shows up to the public on my news feed so everyone can see it. With the new facebook layout, is there a way to prevent this, because it doesn't give me an option to hide post from my news feed when I try to post on a facebook page's wall? Any info will be helpful. I just don't want my friends knowing every second I'm online. The facebook privacy settings seemed to have change?

if you post in a "secret","private" or "closed" group(it will state this in small letters under the Group name,only you & members of that group will see it on newsfeed.any other "public" page your post will appear to everyone.it's facebooks new crap.think its run by obama now...
