My games lag but didnt before 2-3 mounths?

My pc isnt the best one but games like:Arma 2
-batman arkham city
-far cry 2
-left 4 dead 2
-need for speed shift
didnt lag at all on high settings before 3-4 mounths ago.

what could be the problem is it the hard disk? or my graphic card or processor? what could be the problem?
my specs are:
-Intel core duo 2.4 ghz
-ati radeon 4850
-4 gb of ram

Here are a few reasons why your PC is lagging.

1.Overheating: Your pc might be overheating. An overheated CPU will slow down and will cause lagging in your games. If you are using a laptop try buying a laptop fan.

2. Not enough RAM: You have 4GB of RAM which is an ok amount. Recommended RAM for gaming 8GB. Try to upgrade the RAM if you have the money and your PC is capable with it.

3. Too much RAM usage: Games needs lots of RAM. There might be a program running in the background that is consuming a big amount of RAM. Use the task manager to monitor your RAM usage.

4. Weak internet connection: One of the biggest reasons for lag is weak internet connection (if you are playing online). You should check your connectivity.
