Twitter problem, help!?

When i go to type a new tweet on twitter my text cursor jumps to the start or jumps off the box completely as if i was clicking outside the box. When i got to @ someone for instance it will type like 2 letters then jump to the start and the text will continue to type behind the @. I thought it was an issue with google chrome but it is doing the same on IE too. i cant even open my DM's..... what's going off!?
My track pad is fine. Im not that daft!

If your using a laptop or something similar I would say the base of
the palm of your hand is hitting the touch pad when your typing.

Common fault with laptops.

The only way to prove that is get a USB mouse and then disable
the touch pad.

If it doesn't do it any more, problem solved
