Help! Google Chrome Error?

Error 138 shows up everytime I try to open google chrome, saying that it's "unable to access network." I've tried going to my control panel, then firewall, then allowing google chrome, but I cannot find google chrome on the list of programs. I tried turning off my firewall momentarily to see if it was the source of Error 138, but that didn't seem to have any effect. Apparently, my firewall wasn't the reason google chrome cannot access internet. What should I do?
