Is it polite to download your friends pictures offof facebook?

i download my facebook friends pictures (mostly pictures of them) and put them in my screensaver , etc. do many people do this or would my frends be mad at this? how many people do this? i want to know if this is polite.

yes. i do it all the time...for personal use

It's fine. In fact you should give them a journal chronicling their life from morning to bedtime for their next birthday. That way they never have to worry about forgetting anything. Also replace anyone else's face that isn't theirs with yours. Cause you were there even when not needed. That'll show how committed of a friend you are!
