Can you do SEO specifically for yahoo and bing and NOT google?

Okay so lets say you are selling a product or service and you notice that there is very established or very strong competition that is ranking well in google for your keywords. Can you then decide to do you SEO for yahoo and bing only and rank well in THEM for those keywords?

Would there be any point in doing so anyway? Thanks.

You can rank in Bing and Yahoo but what you do to rank in these search engines will also boost the Google presence since all of the search engines use some of the same indicators to determine how your site is relevant to your chosen search terms.

You just need to continue to build quality content and links to your site. Just because you are ranking good on Google right now, doesn't mean if you stop adding content and quality links to your website you will still stay on top.

No,you should know that the difference between Google, Yahoo, Bing is that they apply different rules and data. All you do is the same to all search engines. Why does your site ranking perform diferently in each search engine? Becase they apply different rule and have different data of websites and links.

How to improve SEO in yahoo and bing? I think what you can do is to submit your websites into their search engines. And build high quality content and more links to websites!

Yes you can do SEO specifically for Yahoo and Bing, just follow their guidelines and if you don't want to rank in Google at all you can simply block by robots.txt.
