What is wrong with my internet connection?

I have got a 10 mb dsl connection internet but its running really slow!
Used a internet speed tester up via my android phone and the download speed was just 1mb - 4mb
I changed the modem and the wires but nothing seems to work, but there was one time my terminal box was spoiled so I had to Change it , and I think it made my internet connection slow abit but nkw it can't even olay hd videos
And don't tell me to tell my isp, they don't do shit, I tried it,
Please help me I really need my wifi
Would choose as best answer for aure if it fixed my connection

if you use wifi of course its gonna drop back. also depends on the internet load. depends on server load. the connection is the max speed. reality unless its fiber it may be slower. even coax is slower cause its all shared.
