I don't want to go to prom because my friend is being intimidating?
Basically she has already chosen her dress for prom. It is not a serious prom, not many people are bringing boys, anyway I found this really nice short dress and it has this corset thing on the back. I should it to my two friends (including the one who is intimidating me) on a fb group chat. One though it was nice but the other says I am copying her and the I am not being very original. I know that is true but I feel I should wear what I want and also I have been struggling to find one as well so her comment isn't that helpful. What should I do, should I just not go to prom or what? Please help.

Just go. Tell her not to be so stuck-up, because if she was a good friend she would laugh about how you would match. Its not like anybody really cares if the dresses look similar. It doesn't matter what anybody else thinks. If you like the dress, wear it!

Yeah, you should definetly wear it. Screw your friend, cuz what Anna said, is true. If she really was a friend , she wouldnt be making such a big deal about it. In this case, not wearing the dress you had originally decided on may only give you a "IRRITATING PROM NIGHT to remember". lol. plus, it gives that girl the future opportunities to control you (or others).
