Positioning the wireless router

Place the wireless router in a location where it receives the strongest signal with minimal interference. For best results, follow these tips:

Position your wireless router in a central location. Place the router closest to the center of your home as possible in order to increase the intensity of the wireless signal throughout the residence.

Position your wireless router off the floor and away from walls and metal objects like filing cabinets of metal.Quanto fewer physical obstructions between the computer and the router's signal, the more likely you use the full strength of the signal from the router.

Reduce interferÃÂȘncia.Os 802.11g network equipment operating in the radio frequency of 2.4 gigahertz (GHz). This is the same frequency used by most microwave ovens and many cordless phones. If you turn on your microwave or receive a call on a cordless phone, the wireless signal can be stopped temporarily. To avoid most of these problems, use a cordless phone with a higher frequency, eg 5.8 GHz

You have to call a IPS and sign up for a service they will give you a router modem that will have a 802.11 antenna. They will supply a cdrom and information how to connect it up. It is easy to do and they will help if you need it.
