how do i create shortcut on desktop for google chrome browser?

had a shortcut on desktop which takes me to google chrome (ie google uk in chrome browser) and deleted it by accident. How do i create another same one. I tried wrench, tools, create app shortcut but then when i click on this new shortcut, my bookmark bar has vanished. Any help?. thx in advance
thx for reply, what is app icon?. on new tab there is only most visited websites?
thx phyl mar and computer technician. Ive sorted it. Computer technician; I dont create start up folders so its not there? and phyl mar; dont know what an app icon is? (like i said before). I went to google chrome, typed http://www.google.co.uk and selected this and dragged to desktop and was created. Thx for replies

Go to google chrome
Click the icon at the top of the browser window to open the New Tab page.
Right-click an app icon in the App section of the page.
Select Create shortcut.
In the dialog that appears, choose where you'd like the shortcuts to be placed on your computer.
Click Create

Go to start <> all programs find Google Chrome then right click on it. click send to
then select save as desktop icon short icon.
