will an awaiting payment on ebay be the reason why i cant purchase something of another website?

so i accidently brought something on ebay will i dont want, but since then my card hasnt been working for anything like itunes and a online clothes store since. ive contacted the seller apologising but why is my card playing up?

you need to contact your bank and see what is wrong with it, if you have the-funds on the card then it should work at any store/shop/online. check the expire date on it see if it's in date

I don't have experience with that, but if you have made a charge back and it's being contested by ebay or the seller, I could imagine a temporary hold being put in place for suspicious activity.

Paypal freezes accounts when certain unusual events take place.

Contact the card issuer.
They may have seen the transaction as "unusual activity"
